This Cert 4 level course CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health qualification is delivered in Parramatta. It reflects the role of workers participating in the design, implementation and evaluation of leisure, health activities and programs for clients in one or more sector areas.
Workers may be in residential facilities and/or in community agencies and day centres, completing specialised tasks and functions in relation to leisure and health. While workers are responsible for their own outputs, work is carried out under direct or indirect supervision within defined organisation guidelines.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to Certificate IV in Leisure and Health qualification at the time of publication. However, all students will be required to have a working with vulnerable people and police check before commencing work experience.

At least 4 must come from the prescribed list.
if not listed below, 3 units may be from any currently endorsed Training Package at Certificate III level or above OR any accredited course at Certificate III level.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

Work Placement
All students must complete a minimum of 120 hours of work experience in a regulated aged care facility to be deemed competent for Certificate IV in Leisure and Health qualification.
How long will it take?
Duration is dependent on training delivery mode, individual experience and skills. Students are required to complete a volume of learning of 1150 hours comprising of guided learning, individual study, assessments and work placement. Generally the course will take anywhere between 6 months and a year to complete.

Assessment
Certificate IV in Leisure and Health will be presented in competency-based mode and the student’s competency will be assessed at all levels according to competencies and performance criteria. The training package for each competency specifies the conditions and method of assessment. Assessment methods range from completing set tasks and activities, class attendance and participation and completion of assignments / projects.
